There’s no denying David Bowie’s genius; he managed to keep his own style while changing with the popular music time line (very much like Miles Davis actually). For as long as I can remember I’ve been listening to Bowie. My father was a huge fan and bought every album as they came out. Unfortunately, my sister and I abused a lot of the jackets for the albums so all those originals aren’t worth a thing now. I wonder now when I talk to “Bowie fans” if they actually know any material beyond the way abused “Heroes”, “Ziggy Stardust” and “Rebel Rebel” – or worse, if they know that “Man Who Sold the World” was not originally done by Nirvana.
I’m up that way, I know. I won’t be too obscure, I’m just gonna give you a little more than the radio does. You can take it from there.
